Admission Campus Explorer (ACE) (Work Study)- FWS/Budget | 2025

BE THE FACE OF LA SALLE!

The Admission Campus Explorer (ACE), responsibilities include but are not limited to, assisting with daily campus tours, group tours, office work, event prep, and supporting at evening or weekend yield events. The role of an ACE is to cultivate a memorable and informative campus experience in order to assist prospective families in making an informed decision about their university selection. ACEs are important ambassadors who support visiting families as they choose to become a part of the La Salle community. 

 

These positions are open to both work-study eligible and nonwork-study students.


Schedule: 

  • Handshake APPLICATION DUE 3/31
  • The interview process includes individual and group interviews scheduled on a rolling bases.
    • In a separate document, please attach specific details about your availability for in person interviews on days of the week with time ranges.
  • Applying ACEs are invited to volunteer to support at one of the following events and prep days: School of Business Mixer (2/19), School of Nursing Reception (3/5), School of Arts and Sciences Reception (3/12), or Blue and Gold Day (4/5, 4/12) alongside current ACEs as a part of their interview process. Include these dates and in availability doc too.
  • Your finalized interview times, event day, and set up shift volunteer hours will be confirmed via email.
  • Applicants should request 1 recommendation letter from a La Salle University faculty or staff member. Recommendation letters can be emailed directly to gaylesk1@lasalle.edu – Must be submitted by 4/15
  • Offers will go out in March and April on a rolling bases.
  • Fall ACE Training will take place in  August before school starts
    • There will also be summer work opportunities offered to practice touring, prep and work events, and support in office . (Optional, full time hours available to interested new hire ACEs as well).

ACE positions are held for both the fall and the spring with opportunities for optional roles in the summer. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Full-time undergraduate student for at least 1 semester at La Salle University, must be in good academic standing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Understanding of Lasallian Mission and Core Values

 

In your cover letter, please include responses to the following prompts:

  1. Include your phone number and school email address
  2. Please briefly describe why you want to be an Admissions Campus Explorer (ACE).
  3. This role requires the ability to plan and execute projects. Please describe why you think you would be successful in doing both the administrative and creative side of prepping and executing events/projects.
  4. ACEs are the face of the university for all visiting families and prospective students. Why do you think you would be a valuable addition to this group of campus leaders?
  5. Include any special skills or interests you think could be useful in the role if offered a position.

 

What to submit TODAY:

  1. Cover letter (see questions above)
  2. Availability Doc for: 
  • interviews (2/10-3/31, 9am-4pm)
  • Evening Events (2/19, 3/5, 3/12, 3pm- 9pm)
  • Daytime Events (4/5 and 4/12, 7am-4pm) 
  • AND set up dates (2/19, 3/5, 3/12, 4/5, 4/12 9am-5pm).

 Please give TIME RANGES for each day on your list.
